Learn, Create, Appreciate!
The Arts of Great Falls has a mission is to expand opportunities for art education, expression and professional development in the Great Falls community, and to network with other individuals and organizations that share these goals.
How We Got Started . . .
GFFFTA was formed in 2007, by members of the Board of Directors of Great Falls Studios who wanted to establish a not-for-profit arts organization in Great Falls. As a non-profit, GFFFTA is able to raise money to realize its dream of establishing a center for the arts in Great Falls. Our non-profit status is what distinguishes us from our community partner Great Falls Studios. In 2014, GFFFTA changed it’s name to The Arts of Great Falls and expanded the mission to include all arts including visual, performing arts and literary arts. The community can find a home under this umbrella for a synergy of art events and activities. In May 2015, the foundation moved to new space in the Village Centre of Great Falls on the Green.
Today . . .
The Arts of Great Falls operates three programs that it views as cornerstones:
- The School offers professional instruction for children, teens and adults in a variety of medium through workshops, courses and special programs.
- The Gallery provides a venue for showcasing local and regional art.
- The Working Artists’ Studios provide affordable, shared working studio space in two separate locations. The Atelier at 756 Walker Road has 10 artists and there are 6 artists in our newest location — The Loft at 766 Walker Road.
